ECM Swimming Championship – General Terms and Conditions
Date: May 31 – June 1
Venue: Leisure Centre, Arabian Ranches II
(Applicable to All Categories: Men, Women, Teens, and Kids)
Participation in the ECM Swimming Championship is subject to the following terms and conditions. By registering, all participants (or their parents/guardians in the case of minors) acknowledge and accept these terms in full.
1. Age Categories
- Men’s Category: Ages 25 to 50
- Women’s Category: Ages 25 to 50
- Teens: Ages 13 to 16
- Sub-Category: Boys / Girls
- Kids: Ages 8 to 12
- Sub-Category: Boys / Girls
Valid Emirates ID or birth certificate must be provided to confirm age eligibility. Residents maybe asked to provide proof of residency as this championship is strictly for Emaar Residents only.
2. Reporting Time
- All participants are required to report on-site at the designated times below:
- Timely arrival is mandatory. ECM reserves the right to revoke your participation if you fail to report on time or miss the online and on-site registration process.
3. Health and Fitness
- All participants must be in good health and medically fit to engage in competitive swimming.
- Parents/guardians must ensure the fitness of children and teens before participation.
- ECM and its training partners reserve the right to request medical clearance or a signed health waiver before the event.
- Anyone displaying signs of illness or injury may be barred from participation for safety reasons.
4. Supervision of Minors
- A parent or legal guardian must be present at the venue for all participants under the age of 18.
- Unaccompanied minors will not be allowed to participate or remain in the event area.
5. Venue Access and Crowd Control
- For the Men’s and Women’s categories, only the participant will be allowed entry to the venue during their match.
This is to avoid overcrowding and ensure a pleasant experience for all.
- For the Teens and Kids categories, only one parent or guardian may accompany the participant.
This ensures adequate space and smooth operations during the event.
6. Liability Disclaimer
- Emaar Community Management (ECM) and its coaching/training partners assume no liability for:
- Injuries or medical emergencies
- Loss or theft of personal belongings
- Any form of accident during or after the event
- Participation is at the sole risk of the individual or guardian.
7. Coach’s Authority
- All decisions made by the head coach and officiating staff are final and non-negotiable.
- Coaches reserve the right to disqualify or remove any participant for:
- Rule violations
- Unsafe behavior
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
8. Swimming Attire
- Participants must wear appropriate swimming attire:
- Men: Swim briefs or trunks (no loose clothing)
- Women: One-piece suits or modest swim-specific wear
- Teens and Kids: Age-appropriate swimwear
- Swim caps and goggles are strongly recommended.
- No jewellery or accessories are allowed during races for safety reasons.
9. Swimming Rules
- Any infractions such as false starts, improper strokes, or incomplete turns may result in disqualification.
- Participants must start, swim, and finish according to their designated lanes and category rules.
10. Conduct and Behavior
- All participants must demonstrate respectful and disciplined behavior.
- Disruptive, aggressive, or disrespectful conduct may result in immediate removal from the event.
11. Venue Guidelines
- No food or beverages are allowed in the pool deck area.
- Water bottles may be kept in designated hydration zones only.
- Participants must use designated changing areas and follow all posted facility rules and staff directions.
12. Photography and Media
- By participating, individuals (or their guardians) consent to photo and video coverage for ECM’s promotional and archival use.
- Media will be captured with respect to privacy, especially for minors.
13. Event Amendments
- ECM reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the event due to weather, safety, or operational concerns.
- Advance notice will be given wherever possible.
14. Acceptance of Terms
- By registering or allowing a child/teen to participate, the participant or guardian confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
